Will the site go down during the move?

No. The new site is prepared at a separate address and launched after approval. The existing site stays live during this process.

Can a WordPress site be moved to another platform?

Yes. Pages, text and images are moved to the new platform, and old links are permanently redirected to the new pages. A WordPress site can be moved to Next.js, for example.
